Nanosolar Inc. says its Utility Panel has reached 11.6% efficiency and copper indium gallium selenium printed solar cells have reached 13.9% efficiency, as measured by the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
In addition, the company has signed an agreement for panel warranty insurance with Munich Re and confirmed its new membership in European panel recycling organization PV Cycle.
Nanosolar adds that it plans to reach an annual manufacturing capacity of 115 MW by this fall.
